In your opinion who makes the best karambit knife. Thinking about buying one this will be my first also It will be a folding one

Well outside of custom, you've got Emerson, 511, boker plus, and I suppose mantis or m tech or whatever they call themselves.

I've got an Emerson and an older model 511 master's karambit, both are very good, but I'd go for something inexpensive by boker first to really get the feel.

I am looking at the spyderhawk for SD while jogging. I would take extra blade length over the finger hole, I don't see the use in have one beside twirling the blade around in hand.

the finger hole has a specific reason why its there.. check youtube out how to really use a k-bit..

Avoid mantis at all cost. Mtechs are better than mantis. N690Co is like cpm154 with good rust resistance in my experience. I suggest (in order of price range lowest to best) mtech/tigervilleusa, boker, 511,fox karambit, Spyderco Karambit, emerson, derespina (I fkn love derespina)

Not sure but it holds up well, I have never seen one worn out. but thats what i have seen no clue honestly, Karambits are not something you go camping with. But all that i have seen have held up like all emersons (well)

I have wanted the Emerson since it was introduced - would get a serrated hawkbill from Spyderco if going for anything less expensive or if it's going to be used for daily utility tasks.

Hands down, This

I agree. The 511 Cubmaster 2 is an awesome karambit. Interesting mod on the hole.

Youtube is the last place you want to look to be perfectly honest. There is way too much silly nonsense flying about there, flying about like a kerambit in the hands of someone that doen't know how to use one oddly enough.

I have the Boker CLB Karambit and it broke on me... I wouldn't really recommend them. I was going to get the 5.11 CUB 2.0 before I got my zt and I would recommend that. It has a better design and imao it is more ergonomic. Good luck!

The Emerson one is nearly perfect, except for the fact that the finger hole can be a little too small, if you have big hands, I had that problem. If you can try it in hand before buying, do that.

i just think that i dont wanna grind a very good steel..lol..

I can understand that. Been thinking of getting a 5.11-2.0 myself. And I'm debating if I did get it, whether I'd mod it or just use a zip tie. Be nice to keep the warranty intact (if they have a decent one, haven't really looked it up).
