Help - Like to make handles for my CRKT Stiff Kiss

I've finally decided to try my first knife project and thought that this seemed like a basic project. I would like the handles to be micarta, and shaping them and finishing them I should be able to handle. What I'm not sure about is how to fasten them to the tang of the CRKT stiff kiss. I've read through quite a few back posts and epoxy or JBWeld with pins seems like a popular choice. Is this the best way to do it? Any other suggestions? Does this sound like a good begineers project?
Thank in advance for any advice.

Walter-
Go for it. No one can be more of a beginner than me, and I managed to put some G10 scales on my Stiff KISS. Do they look factory? Heck no. But I learned a lot, had hours of fun, and can remove them if I want to. The guys in this forum should be able to walk you thru it, as they are tops.
Good Luck!
