i have read these creatures exist but i have never seen one in my travels. if i had options, i am partial to a collins legitimus as i have been living in connecticut most of my life and when i fly fish the farmington river i drive by where these axes used to be made. this is not for a collection but i will use it as my felling axe to drive wedges; and will hang on a , yet to shape, handle from some dying hickory i recently fell. if you come across one in your travels could you please remember to bump this thread or send logicallycompromised@gmail.com an email?

thank you for your time and consideration.

Good choice so long as your driving plastic felling wedges.
If you want to drive steel wedges with it then you'd be better off with a Kelly Perfect or a rafting axe with a hardened poll. The rafting axe has thicker stronger eye walls.
