Can anyone shed any light on this knife? Model number? Special Features? Value? The blade indicates it is 0408 out of a 1000, so it must have been a limited run.

The knife is a 2004 Limited Edition Model 532. It has burl wood bolsters and "impala bone" scales. There were supposed to be 1000 made but that's not always acccurate. The scales are really jigged buffalo horn made to look like impala.

Can't give a value due to the fact that you have to be a paid member (Gold or higher) to ask about values per the forum rules.

Dang plum you are not only fast but accurate & knowledgeable. Bucklock 532IBL.

Thank you for the information. I'm sorry about asking for value. I didn't know it was against the rules until a few minutes ago when I asked a similar question regarding a Benchmade. This Buck is certainly a handsome little knife. Does anyone know the blade steel? Do folks use these limited edition knives or are they mostly for collecting?

The blade is 420HC. I have a couple of LE's (301's) that I carry occasionally, but otherwise, my LE's are just for collecting/display.

Nice 532, I've got a 501 like it.

Ya I've noticed the same about taco bell and "real" mexican resturants.

LOL. Actually, I've been to two "real" Mexican food resturants in the past several days and the food at Taco Bell was better than either one of them!

Dave, living in California, that's just sad:(, You'll have to travel a bit south to my neck of the woods and I'll take you to get some Mexican food that will blow your socks off.
