Anything else I'm missing? I want something that is EDC, Extremely tuff, tactical and can be beaten on- but look better than a CS American Lawman, Good Steel around that price point.

No Serration...

Anything else to add?

Thanks guys!

Are the knives on that list knives that you already have?

What makes something "Extremely tuff", "tactical", and "can be beaten on"? It would be helpful to know if there is a specific knife that you have used, and broken, so that we can determine what level of durability is appropriate for your uses.

Do you have a price point?

I'd argue for a CRK Umnumzaan or Sebenza, and probably a Strider SNG/SMF.

Around that price also look at the ZT 0200 and Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

Those are possible choices/likes...

Liner/Lock Durability biggest concern

Just a strong all purpose EDC from Boxes, SelfDef, Light to Med Camp/Hiking usage.

$150 being max just depends...

In that case, I'd recommend the Spyderco Paramilitary 2. If you can get it, they run just over $100, and the compression lock is very strong.

From experience I'd say that the increase in blade thickness makes it stronger than, say, an Endura. The Endura slices better, being thinner, but the Para2's S30V holds an noticeably longer in my experience and uses.

I love mine, it's a great all around knife.

Edit: *The Para2 holds an edge noticeably longer*

Thanks Cynic2701- I do love the ones you posted above; However, building out my bag right now so trying to be smart on purchases = )

Sure, and I can completely understand.

In fact, I'd say that you should hold off from picking up a $300+ knife until you've had and used several $100 knives. That way you will actually be able to appreciate the differences.

ZT 0200. Great knife. Heavy duty, durable, very nice handles, very unnoticeable pocket clip. ~$120
ZT 0350. great little EDC, or so i heard. I have heard it described as the blur's larger brother, and i love the blur and i love my 0200, so it can't be a bad knife. ~$120
Junkyard dog composite. Great left-side carry knife, durable as anything in it's price range, and fun to flip to boot. street price: ~$75

you could consider the virtues of buying a smatchet, I'm not sure if folding smatchets are already available.
If not, maybe a Lionsteel SR-1 would be a good buy.

One more bump-

Thinking Spyderco PM2...

If you're thinking Para 2 - then you might as well get the Military you listed. Longer blade, a proven folder with great ergos and a decent blade, no complaints - ever.

I wouldn't consider literally "beating" on any folders. Instead look at the Ka-bar/Becker lineup or the Esee lineup of affordable fixed blades, available in all sizes. :)
