Hey guys, once again (much to my wifes dismay) i have the itch to buy a new knife. I'm thinking i need a bigger all purpose camp/hunting knife. I already have a folding saw and hatchet for most of my wood processing, a 4" drop point spyderco Bill Moran for game processing, a 4" condor bushlore, as well as some smaller folders (victorinox, ontario, puma, byrd, buck).
What im thinking is kind of a do all, never fail, save my ass, if i could take just one tool type knife (or maybe i just want to put it under my pillow to keep me warm and cozy :P).
Anyway theres and few that've caught my eye but just when im sure its the one another beauty comes up. Help me, i need some imput!

First up is a Becker BK5. This is the cheapest option at $94 (including shipping to Canada) unless i upgrade the shealth (which seems pretty poor).

Then there's the Esee 6 at $129, as much as i like it its probably my last choice at this point...

Let me introduce you to the ZT 0170, 6 inches of warm safe feelings under your pillow:cool:

Then theres the super cool Tops Apache Dawn (154) i think i like this sheath the best, and its come with a couple neat toys...

And i cant help but consider a Scrapyard 711 which is $155 plus sheath (another 80 for the kydex's i could find)

It does not matter what you get because until you get a BK9 you are always going to need a BK9.

May I sugest a BK9.

My vote is for the SYKCO 711! I got one on semi-impulse after seeing some people mentioning them. I LOVE it. I convexed the edge to be more slicey and it is all the knife I need. For the weight it out performs anything I have seen. You can check out the exchange to see if you can get one used or buy it new. If I hadnt bought my used I would have still waited the two months. Totally worth it!

Becker BK-7 or the Ka-bar JAB Potbelly will survive anything, and neither will break the bank.

Have you checked Canadian dealers for pricing?... There's warriors and wonders and S and R knives; both have pretty competitive prices and you don't have to worry about cross border customs fees...
