Hey guys! I haven't been around these parts for a while since the forum is blocked at work. Anyway, I had some issues with a custom builder, and have only had my Becker bk2 for about a year now. I haven't been carrying in about that long, and I don't like it. I've been doing tons of research to pick out something, and I've got it narrowed down to either a zt0300 or a zt0350. I guess the only real difference between them is the handle and a slight size difference....and of course a massive price difference haha. Can any one comment on the difference in feel between them?

I'm also looking at the.dozier.folding hunter and the kershaw clash as cheap beaters. can any one talk about these 2? Which is better, should I just avoid them altogether? Thanks guys!

I own both a ZT 0303 and a ZT 0350KW. From what I hear it may be hard to find a ZT 030x nowadays. You pretty much got it covered by you have to look at the price and the size, also the ZT 030x is a titanium framelock while the 0350 is a Liner lock. Both knives are tough and will take a beating! I regulary carry my 0303 as I like a bigger knife and my state dosen't have a blade length law. You do however need to remember the weight, the 030x series are heavy!! When you carry it you know you have a knife on you! while the 0350 is much smaller and lighter, you are still plenty aware of the blade in your pocket. Both my knives use S30V I dont know if newer ones come in S35VN or not? From my experience both knives are a pain to sharpen because of the recurve but if you know what you're doing you wont have a problem. Both knives WILL tear up your pockets so keep that in mind. Overall these two knive are two of my favorites and is what got me hooked on ZT knives!

Just buy both! You can sell which one you don't like or keep them both, you cant go wrong either way.

When your looking to buy contact Kershawguy here on the forums, hes the man!

Ok, the 0350 will work fine, but the 030x series will do everything you ask except slice well ;). seriously, I think the 0300 series is overkill for EDC, but the 0350 would be perfect.

I had an 0350 a while back. I never ended up carrying it because it simply didn't cut things well enough. I don't like knives that don't cut things well. Don't get me wrong, the 0350 was a great knife, solid as a rock and great ergos but it just wasn't my cup of tea. If you don't mind carrying a slicer/heavy duty combo than you cant go wrong. Id pair the 0350 up with something like a ffg Spyderco delica and you'd have yourself an unbeatable, fairly economic (compared to many knives out there) combo. Maybe if i carried a slicer with my ZT i would have kept it.

Just my $0.02.

You cannot go wrong with either one. I own a 0303 and a 0350CB, great knives, fit nd finish is excellent, sharp out of the box, and they have one of if not the absolute best warranties in the business.

Awesome. Warranty is always a big selling point for me.
Same here, it's peace of mind more than anything. The people that take calls and answer email from Kershaw/ZT are really fast, friendly, and always helpful from what I have experienced and read from others.
One other thing I wanted to mention, any knife will get dull with use. Maybe you get one that is less than a scalpel out of the box. It happens, they are made and sharpened by humans and nothing is perfect. The ability to touch up and sharpen a knife is essential to owning and using them. In short, i have no doubt you will enjoy either choice and it will serve you well for years to come.
