Hey guys,

I'm looking for an outdoor/survival/bushcraft folding knife, and I'm really exact about the specs. Here are my requirements:

3.5 to 4 Inches (8.9 to 10.3 cm) Blade Length
Locking Liner
Something like G-10 on the handle
Sabre Grind or Flat Grind ONLY
Steel Liners
A good steel like VG-10, not something like 440C/AUS8
Drop/Spear/Clip Point with Straight Edge
Lanyard Hole
A good brand
Less than $120

I would appreciate it if someone found a knife which has these specs,

Thanks!!

PS Thanks everyone for suggesteing such wonderful knives!! Even though I'm breaking my own budget, one knife that I found and that I liked immediately was the Blade Tech Pro Hunter Magnum.. They're awesome knives!

Too bad it is hardly available now as the company went bankrupt, but Lakota Legend folder meets all of your requirements and it's a hell of a folder. One of the most underrated knife brands. Al Mar Shrike could also be an option.

Just curious - Are 440C and AUS8 "bad" steels. I have honestly never, ever had any failures or issues.

Nope! Not bad steels at all! Just given poor heat treatments on some models by some companies because they used the steel to reduce costs in the first place. If they cut back in one spot if often times means that they did in others as well. I love my AUS8 pieces and am warming up to 440C. I started carrying around my first-gen BM Pika when I travel and I've been loving it. :)

The Military is a great knife, but for "outdoor/survival/bushcraft" I think you'd be much better off with a fixed blade like a RAT RC-4.

Composite JYD II, about $65, CPM-D2 edge, thick liner lock and G-10 handles. Plus the handle is very comfrotable and the blade shape makes it a awsome cutter. I like my millie but my JYD II sees much more time in the outdoors.

+1

...also consider the Kershaw G-10 Tyrade. Composite blade also w/ 154CM and D2 edge. Beefy liner lock, 3.75" long blade, and lanyard hole. Not sure if the JYDII has a lanyard hole.

If you can push the pricepoint another $8, the Zero Tolerance ZT0200 would fit the bill perfectly. 3 7/8" 154CM blade, G-10 handle scales, thick liners/lock, lanyard hole and tough as nails.

Ritter Griptilian, great blade, great lockup, and now in Orange :D

Kershaw G10 Tyrade, also great blade, lockup, and in Orange :D

Both are tough folders that will be able to take it.

ZT0200 or ZT0500........both are over the limit, but only by a little bit, anyway, you can not put a price on survival!
