OK...I'm certain I want a Tanto point and plain edge. What I'm having a hard time deciding is Large or XLarge.

My body type: 6'2" and 240 lbs. on a "strong farmer" type of frame. My hands are considered "large" in the glove industry...I'm equally comfortable shooting a Baretta 92 as I am a Glock 23 or single stack .45 in a 1911 frame.

My average daily attire generally consists of blue jeans, tee shirt, sometimes an unbuttoned/untucked dress shirt over top of that, leather belt. I'd carry this in either my right front or back pocket.

Primarily this is to be an EDC blade. The chores are those "common" every day knife-duty tasks...cutting boxes, paper, occasional whittling and perhaps even to go on a trek with me sometime.

Not out of the realm of possibilities, but perhaps even for self defense if necessary.

I like the look of the XL but in some people's hands/YouTube reviews, it looks absolutely huge.

Would the Large version suit my purposes better?

I would definitely try and handle the L and XL before making a decision, you may find one or the other just 'fits'.

Because of your height and hand size.

I think that you would have better luck with the XL over the L.

The XL Voyagers carry real well too.

I think the large will be more than enough for an EDC blade. The XLs are huge...... and full of awesome. You can get both cheap right now if you're cool with the AUS 8 versions.

I have an XL hand the the Voyager XL is still big in hand. I think for an EDC, the Large would be fine. Although if you are like me, you'll end up with both anyway. ;)
