My birthday is in December which really sux . I usually spoil myself and buy an Emerson to treat my self for my birthday/x mas gift. I was eyeing an full size Roadhouse. I got a mini Roadhouse for valentines day a couple years ago, I like a full size blade because i use them for work. I have a cqc 8 for a work utility knife(I'm a pastry chef) and a Gentleman Jim for edc. But now I see the Zealot out and the El Bandito released a couple weeks ago. I wanted an El Bandito so bad when it was released but didn't get a chance to grab one before it was discontinued. I think Ernests new design the Zealot is pretty damn sexy and will be a perfect for work edc. Can you guy help me with the dilemma I'm in? Thx guys

Obvious answer is both 
having owned a Bandito, it was just a little too aggressive and stabby for my tastes. I love it but it's a blade that is well suited for shanking. I have a zealot coming, it appears to be about the size of a 15. It seems more versatile over the bandito but that's just my opinion.

- I don't think that the El Bandito has been discontinued. Emerson makes knives in batches, so models get new productions all of the time.
There was a recent thread that said that the El Bandito was coming again.

ZEALOT! You already have the Gentleman Jim which has a very similar blade profile to the El Bandito.

Of those I'd easily choose the Roadhouse, one of my all time favorites.

I almost did when i got my first Emerson CQC 16 back in '08. Ever since I opened the box for he first time, I've been addicted to the grittiness and smell of a brand new Emerson.

Every emerson addict has to have a Roadie. If you did nothing but look at it would be worth it. The blade style and ergos makes just a piece of art. Simply amazing! Love mine!

That's Great!!! I really like both of my Zealots and want to get a black bladed one as well. It's really sharp and you might not miss the serrations on it. You can always have serrations added down the road.
