I've narrowed down my choices for the latest use-for-everything knife to just slip in my pocket quick instead of one of my more expensive Spydercos and they are: the Spyderco Police or Scorpius, and I'm also curious about the SubCom fixed blade; what, in your opinion, is the best all-around knife and which one should I pick up? Thanks for the help. God bless America.

I personally love the D'Allara drop point I recieved a second one yesterday they are an excellent EDC knife

I'm just going to assume under 100 dollars here:
Both the Police and Scorpius are a bit more slippery than I like, but the handle ergos are great and work well for most tasks (kitchen, wiring, rope cutting, etc) that I performed with them a couple years ago.

I'd recommend trying to find a brick-and-mortar to try them out at, as the Scorpius is not for everyone, and the Police is far larger than the Scorpius length-wise.

For fixed blades, the Subcom FB may be a tad wide, but it should cut and slice very well. Quite a few good options. Run a search if you're interested.

Just be aware that the Police model's blade-length is not going to be street-legal in quite a few places.

Spyderco makes a stainless steel handled version of their under 4-inch bladed Endura. Better for street carry.
