help me chose between 2 RATS!

Ok I am almost ready to order my first rat cutlery knife. Should I buy the RC-4 or the RC-6 for camp knife and dressing deer? I would like to see some reviews on the rc-6! plz answer asap cause i shall order tomorrow!

I feel that the RC-4 would make an all around better camp knife, there are some things a a little knife can do that a big knife can't. Also there is some things that a big knife can do that a little knife can, but it will take longer. Also as far as dressing deer I would prefer a RC-4 over a RC-6.

The RC4 would be more suited to the needs of dressing deer & the RC 6 better as a general purpose camp knife. If you can only get one of the two, I would go with the RC4 & get the RC6 latter. The RC4 will cover a wide range of tasks very well.

RC 6 would likely be a better for the bigger tasks. If it needs to be able to dress deer, I suggest the RC 4, as it is a smaller blade, which is needed for skinning.

Or..

Get both, one you get one you will want the other ones

I say get both, the RC-3 may be even better at dressing game, but the RC-4 or 6 would be a better Camp knife, here is the RC-6 pass review thread.

Choosing which RAT to buy can be like deciding to go with Blonde, Brunette, or Redhead... No matter what you decide you're going to come out of it satisified.

However, my 2cents: If skinning deer is going to be a serious objective for the purpose of the knife go with the RC-4. The 6 is right near a foot long and although would definately skin a deer if need be would be rather cumbersome to wield for the task on a regular basis.

The RC-4 is my personal all time favorite knife. Period. It's small enough to manipulate for things on the short list, but because the good folks at RAT were kind enough to make the thing as tough as a cro-bar it can be used to pound though trees for "Camp" duties as well.
