Hey I just recieved my tenacious today and this thing is wicked awesome!!! i want to get more spydercos im addicted already I just cant decide what Model I want? any suggestions? it will be for EDC

Heres what I had in mind already

Endura 4
Delica 4
Ladybug
Manix 2

Of those choices what is the best edc? and if there is a better selection then that please suggest it I perfer Plain edge , with around 3inch Blades... kinda wanting a lockback or something simular to the manix
I really appreciate it

If you want something beefy, go with the Manix 2. For something a little more pocket friendly, the Delica 4 would work.

I don't know what your budget is, but you should check out the Caly 3. It is one of the best models that Spyderco offers, and it has what you want - lockback, 3" blade, and better blade geometry than any of the ones that you mentioned. And a Para would also be a good choice, it is one of my favorite Spyderco designs.

Sage 2. my EDC rotation was my delica 4 and my mini-griptillian both have been retired for just the sage 2.

The manix 2 is beefy and fits in the pocket ok but it rides a little big for my tastes. the delica is perfect pocket size.

for your budget go for a sage, i stopped looking at EDC blades when i got mine.

Out of the ones you listed, the Manix if you are a little more "hard use" and the Delica if you are a little more "light use". Unless you like carrying a big knife, the endura is a touch large.

Out of the list that you have posted the only one I have experience with is the manix II and it is very solid, grippy, comfortable in the hand, and not necessarily huge in your pocket however, I know this isnt on your list but I just purchased a paramilitary and I love it, it may be something worth looking into for you

I just got a Manix 2 Blue and am very happy with it. A little larger than I usually EDC but the fit and finish is excellent and it is relatively light for a knife of its size.

The stretch is a great EDC knife and is what the owner of Spyderco designed for his EDC. If you want to try a high end steel you can get the ZDP blade which holds an edge for a long time. You can get the blue FRN model to save some money or go high class with the textured carbon fiber. If you want a steel that is good but easier to sharpen then the VG10 model is the cheapest of the bunch.

The Manix 2 is a great knife but a little more 'bulky.'

The Sage 2 in titanium has been compared to the sebenza by more than one person.

The Gayle Bradley is also supposed to be great but be fore warned the blade is not considered stainless and can stain and develop a patina which isn't necessarily bad.

On the other hand you can get one of the Salt series which uses H1 steel. It doesn't hold the best edge but is absolutely rust proof. You can leave it in a jar of salt water for a year and it will look as good as the day you put it in.

The caly 3 is probably my favorite for an EDC blade. Again, it can be had in the ZDP and smooth carbon fiber or VG10 and G10.

These are my favorite Spyderco knives and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Spyderco Civilian :D

I only have "cheaper" spydies so far. I keep going back to my s30v native, though. So I'd try and get the CF Native before it's sold out. But really, there are so many GREAT offerings at your price level, you can get it very specific with length/weight/carry, etc... and still have 4 or 5 to look at.

I really like the Manix out of what you have listed, though.

For around a 3" blade, I suggest a Delica in G-10. The full flat grind and grippy handle make this a perfect EDC. I haven't used a Sage 2 yet though--it also looks incredible.

well if you want something similar to the manix 2 then get the manix 2. the sprint run version has milled out liners and a flat grind to shave off weight to make it more EDC friendly. and limited at only 500 pieces if you don't like it you can easily get your money back and then some.

I've always wanted a manix 2. even if you don't "hard use" you knife it's good to know that what you EDC can take it. it's more along the "it's better to have it and not need it rather than to need it and not have it" line.

I'd recommend the Caly 3 in carbon fiber. Awesome knife. ZDP-189 is awesome. I got mine for a little over 100$. That knife is indestructable as far as edge holding.

Is it worth the price?

It's a great looking knife; I have one but I don't use it. The combination of slick CF scales and the lack of blade jimping takes it off my EDC list. So was it worth the price only to be a safe queen? It was for me, probably because I already have other Native models that fit my EDC needs. :)

if youve got $175 id go a with a D2 paramilitary....you can find them brand new on the exchange here for ~$150...the D2 steel is amazing, the comp lock is awesome, good ergos IMO...looks awesome! I would also look at the gayle bradley as mentioned, and the sage II...
