Help me decide, Cara Cara 2 ffg or Spyderco Resilience

Help me pick one of the two, other suggestions are welcome too. I am looking for a new inexpensive slicer for an edc, and please no Opinel suggestions, I already have plenty of them. I am strictly looking for a modern locking, 1 hander.

I am leaning a bit towards the Resilience, slightly longer blade, wider blade/I believe this one would make a better slicer. I fully intend to use this knife for food, Resilience would be easier to clean, and I am comfortable with liner locks.
On the other hand is the Cara Cara 2; less expensive, same blade steel, I like the look of full stainless knives and that is an option with this knife, however it would probably be heavier, but is probably more pocket-able. I don't have anything against lock backs, but I think I would prefer a well made liner lock over a back lock.

I have also considered the Tenacious, but I think I would prefer the longer blade.
Suggestions, thoughts? Comparison pictures would be nice if anyone has some.

I'd take the Resilience over the steel-handled version of the Cara Cara 2 in a heartbeat: the G-10 is significantly lighter, grippier, and more resistant to temperature change (e.g., if you leave it sitting out in the Arizona sun for a few minutes). Between the Resilience and the G-10 Cara Cara 2, it'd be a toss-up for me. The biggest difference between the two is probably the type of lock, so given that you said you prefer liner locks to lock backs, the Resilience seems like the natural choice given your preferences.

For slicing id go with the resilience. I have an ffg g10 cara cara and its great IF you convex the edge. The ffg is ground too shallow IMO on the cc2 so it makes a great beater but for slicing capabilities the tenacious family wins hands down

I'd go resilience, in fact it's in my pocket right now... Here is a great review that may help you make up your mind...

since your leaning towards the Resilience, you should get that knife. That being said, I wouldn't suggest using any folder for food prep as the knifes are generally not long or wide enough and its hard to actually disinfect a folder (it really doesnt take that much to make someone sick, even if you dunk it in bleach after you use it, if there is a little piece of food stuck in there some place, it will get you sick! Perhaps if you were in a survival situation it would be ok but I'd still strip it down to its parts, scrub the crap out of everything, throw all the peices into an autoclave and then reassemble it afterwards). I'd highly suggest using a kitchen knife or fixed blade for that task.

Full stainless gets scratched up and is very slippery when you get it wet with water/blood.

I like my Cara cara 2 in G10 but I like lockbacks over liner locks. I bought mines to replace my spyderco police. One thing to note is that the FRN cara cara 2 is half the price of a Resilience in G10.

Meh in the end, their all pretty damn cheap, buy them both.

Thanks guys, I just went ahead and ordered up the Resilience. I will probably still pick up the Cara Cara 2 later on just to check it out.
