I'm lookin for an EDC no bigger than a 4.5 in blade. Not gonna be an every day cutter I want something tactical for defensive purposes. Price range no more than $200.00. I like the Busse Meaner Street but the price is way to high. I also like the Swamp Rat Mini Spec Ops but I've been waiting for over a year for its release. So I have come up with the Benchmade Nimravus Tanto in M2 steel of course. Whatcha think guys? A good choice? Or what else can you recommend? Thanx in advance!

Second Chris Reeve Knives. You can check out his website to pick the model that u like the best. I wanna get one of those too.

The Benchmade Nimravus is an excellent choice...Go with that one.

spyderco Lum 4" tanto if they still have it....they were selling fo$75 shipped free at spyderco's website

aus8...linen micarta....wicked sharp....swedged spine (false edge)

For $200 you can obtain a fine handmade using knife with the finest kydex there is. And who knows more about users than www.dozierknives.com ? Some of his models are fighters in disguise. Check them out.

I'll second Nakano's recommendation for a Dozier. He makes some truly great knives, and the prices are good too. I just picked up a Personal and I am loving it.

There may be some "lower end" (not meaning to be offensive, just mainly based on price) custom makers here which could help you out with a design of your own..........

I've handled some of his knives, and they are nicely made. I'd much prefer one of these over a more expensive production line piece.

Take the modified spearpoint Nimravus, much more practical than the tanto version.

Be sure to take a look at Gerber's Yari, CRKT's Companion, the Emerson PUK and John Greco's tactical fixed blade offerings.
