I am looking for a new knife. I want something a little higher end this time my budget is at $200 before shipping. I would like something under a 3.5" blade length I am pretty much open to anything else It would be used for EDC at work opening cardboard boxes and shrink wrapped pallets and general use. I have been considering the following knives:

Spyderco Gayle Bradley
Spyderco Paramilitary
Spyderco Lum Chinese folder
Spyderco Manix 2
Spyderco Micheal walker
Benchmade Rift
Benchmade Full size griptilian
Al Mar eagle

as you can see i list alot of spydercos I cant stop buying them ever since i got my tenacious thats the only brand i have ever bought since :p Id like to try a different brand if i could but I seem to always get spydercos any input would be highly appreciated its really hard to decide on a higher end knife i want them all

Difficult to decide...
I like these:
Spyderco Paramilitary
Spyderco Manix 2
Benchmade Rift
Benchmade Full size griptilian
Al Mar eagle
Hope this helps!

i know this is above my 3.5 inch length but ive been considering the spyderco military as well

In that list, I'd pick the Bradley. Not on the list - Sage 2, probably over the Bradley because it is lighter and carries a little better. The Bradley is a little overbuilt for cardboard and shrinkwrap.

If you like Benchmade, the 940 is worth considering based on the same reasoning as the Sage. It has a great blade to handle ratio, and carries better than the Rift.

My two favorites for easy use and carry are the, Spyderco Stretch or the Para.

ive already got the sage and the stretch they are awesome i just need an excuse to buy another knife!!

How does the Paramilitary compare against the military?

You have plenty of Spydercos so try out another brand. Everyone needs to at least try out an AXIS lock at some point. I suggest the Rift. In my opinion it is the best knife Benchmade makes and it is my favorite knife period. I wouldn't trade it for any other knife out there. I don't like the 940 very much because the design and blade shape just look off to me. Plus I hate aluminum handles so that rules it out for me.

If you decide to go with something else I like the sprint run Manix 2 but the normal one with the hollow grind I don't like as much. You should still be able to find a sprint run with green scales and the Carpenter steel. It has a full flat grind and skeletonized liners.

I also want to try out the Gayle Bradley mainly because M4 steel is pretty great. There are still some of the Ritter grips left in M4 if you hurry and like the design.

I would like to get a Gayle Bradley when I save enough to buy another knife. So I say go with the GB.

I would also recommend a full size Ritter Griptilian. The S30v knife is awesome and carries/uses like a dream. It is one of my favorites. I also hear Ritter is doing an M4 verision that would be nice as well.
