So I have a few knives on my radar and can only pick up one right now. Some of them I've owned before and some haven't.
I just want to hear your guys opinions and preferences with an explanation why or why not. Keep in mind my budget is $120
and as of right now I can find all these knives for that amount or under. Just need your help to pick which one!!!

So the knives in question are
Emerson Horeseman
Emerson mini Commander (have never owned this one before. Not sure about the recurve)
Emerson CQC-7 (not sure if I want stonewash or black and wave or no wave. Owned this knife a few times and it keeps calling me.)
Spyderco Military (still have not owned a millie. Have a para 1 but that big blade of the military is calling me.)
Spyderco Sage 2 (maybe 1. Ti framelock is always sweet.)

Any other suggestions that fall in my budget.

one word.

MILLITARY.

I had one, sold it, and now im buying another. the blade is so gorgeous, and its very comfortable.

My ONE AND ONLY gripe about the millitary is that the liner lock is a really freaking ugly, flat grey finish.

Thats the only complaint. considering the size, and materials involved, you cant beat this knife for the price.

I love deploying this knife via spyderdrop. in my opinion, this is the spyderco that lends itself most easily to spyderdropping because of the carry configuration, and the size and weight of the handle.

On an ending note...

GET THE MILITARY

Ya, The millie has been up there on my list for a while. Love liner and frame locks and tip down carry doesn't bother me much.
Only thing is got to be careful now with all the fakes out there. Market is being flooded with them with people trying to pass them
off as the real deal. Now that the quality is up to the point where they can fool a lot of people.

Out of those I'd go with the Military, either linerlock or framelock version. It's a great design, quite light for its size, priced right and made in the US with an S30V blade.

If you order from a reputable dealer, you wont get a fake...

youd have to order off of an auction site to get a fake one i do believe.

So easy. Spyderco Military of course! I EDC a Millie since 2008 (one of four). GOAT production EDC. 4" FFG and only 4.2 oz. Best food folder due to the blade angle.

Out of the ones you mentioned I would heartily, without a doubt go with the military. And if you have the need to cut a lot of tough or fibrous materials on a regular basis I would advise you to go with the fully serrated blade. It's like having a chainsaw in your pocket, at your disposal. The Mini Commander would be my second choice. It is definitely worth owning. Don't worry about the recurve. It cuts like crazy. Just learn how to sharpen it and you're golden. (I would recommend the sharp maker or crock sticks)

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Well looks like the consensus so far is millie all the way. Honestly I'm still undecided.
Not sure why but I'm gravitating towards the mini commander.
And just to throw another bone in the mix I can get a Paramilitary 1 with DLC blade and cammo G10.
The Para 1 is my all time fav and I've wanted one in DLC for the longest time. I have a satin. But
just thinking having two para 1's is a little redundant. Maybe a military is exactly what I'm looking for.
Maybe if one comes up in DLC that might just be the ticket.

Don't go with an Emerson, you will be disappointed with the quality IMO. Go with the Spyderco Military. It's a better knife all around, has better steel and the liner lock will not be worn to the other side in short order like I have had happen with 3 different Emersons.

Here's another knife I'm fond of.

How about a Spyderco Manix 2 in S110V?

The Military will have tougher construction, but a lesser blade steel in terms of wear-resistance.

Gotta agree on the Emersons, not impressed.
