Help me decide?

Hey all,
Am finding myself reeeeeally drawn to congress style patterns these days, so I sold a knife yesterday in order to buy another. Having trouble deciding between a GEC Maverick in ebony and a GEC half congress in yellow bone with the stamped bolsters. Can anyone weigh in on one or the other, or at least push me toward one knife with words or pictures? I really can't decide!
Thanks!

I own neither knife, so please take this with a grain of salt. IF CARRYING, I would probably lean towards the Maverick, as it's rounded edges seem more comfortable.

If not carrying, I think maybe I'd lean towards the yellow half Congress, but I too would have trouble deciding overall.

Definitely go for the deluxe congress - it's quite a rare piece that you won't see many makers (if any) doing these days

Thanks to you both! I do plan on carrying/using it in a pocket slip. I went with the deluxe congress. How could I say no?

Just kidding! Just sold another knife, so I'll be getting both! [emoji1417][emoji1417]

I would think the 1/2 congress would be a little thinner, and maybe be more comfortable in a pants pocket. You'll have to let us know.

This is it....

I agree totally with Barrett! I'd love to see photos of that particular knife from all sorts of angles! What a heartstopper!:cool::cool:

Cheers guys, seeing as it's Stag Saturday GT, I'll have to oblige...

and pen blade

now both

Now has anyone noticed anything unusual?

That's right the serial number is engraved on the pile side. I don't know why, but there it is.

oh and thickness, a nice swell towards the pommel

...uh oh...

Rory likes this one too, he ran off with it to the utility room so he could inspect it in peace (thankfully the characteristically firm pull of the 25 means I need not worry about him snipping his digits off, he hasn't a hope of opening it)

This was my second 25. It was a gift from Pertinux. I still can't believe she parted with such a stunning and unique WLST.

Thanks a million for the fabulous photos of your stag 25, Paul; what an amazing knife!!:thumbup::cool:
I was hoping especially for a shot of the thickness of the stag, and couldn't believe how matched and symmetric the covers are.
I wasn't hoping for, but thoroughly enjoyed, the "uh oh" shot! :D
IMHO, young Rory has exquisite taste in knives.
Accolades to pertinux for her impressive gift!!!:eek::cool::thumbup:

This was the first time that I realized a knife in my possession was no longer my own, and that I'd best get it into its owner's hands as quickly as possible.

I had chills (and tears) the whole time I was packing it up, at the deep double-edged rightness of it all-- and find myself there again, looking at the pictures and writing this now.

Cheers, Paul!

Thanks Neal! Usually when people say "get both" I can't afford it. This time, no one told me to get both and I just went ahead and did it anyway!
