I am looking for a new titanium edc folder. I'm currently looking at the Spydiechef and the Lionsteel Tispine.

I have been edc-ing my Maxemet Para 3 for over 3 months without pause and want to add a nice titanium folder to the mix. I am not a fan of flippers and would like to keep it under $300. Any advice or alternative choices are welcome.

Current collection is Maxemet Para 3, Benchmade Bugout, Kershaw Bareknuckle 20cv and Kizer Guru flipper.

Thanks for the help!

Edit to add: Do I just get titanium scales for the Para 3 since I enjoy this knife so much?!

FWIW, you can get it on secondary for around your budget. But, i think, once you go for any CRKs, you won’t look back, considering you’re pretty faithful with your knives, i mean edc’ing your pm3 for months and it’s a pretty good knife. I think any CRKs will suit you pretty nicely and worthwhile.

Edit: Not trying to force you on a CRK, just my humble opinion. Just what is just right for you and take my input with a grain of salt. :D

I'd say the LionSteel. They make A top quality product. The one.piece of titanium is nice too. What steel?? Niolox is some good stuff as well if that's it. Good luck with your choice either way!

Haha no worries. I know people love their CRKs and I'm sure one day I'll end up trying one. I'll keep an eye out for a good deal though and see if I can find the version I would want. I really like the insingo blade shape.

Looking for simple elegance?
Spyderco Sage 2. Discontinued, but not all that difficult to come by if you've got a little patience.
Want something a little bigger?
ZT0095BW
A little flashier?
ZT0470
Want the one that claimed my pocket?
Reate K2

I believe they have 2 versions. One has Elmax and the other has M390.

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm not the biggest flipper fan. I prefer thumbstuds or hole, maybe a front flipper.

Actually, I don't care for dedicated flippers...that's why I was so surprised by the K2. (I rarely carry my 0095, and I never bought the 0470).
Keep the Sage 2 on the list, and maybe you can find a deal on a Benchmade Anthem. The Advocate is my favorite Spyderco, and worth a look (just don't use the flipper tab - I don't).
If you weren't looking for titanium, I'd suggest the Hogue Ritter (RSK Mk1-G2) or the Southern Grind Spider Monkey.

Now that the anthem is discontinued I feel like it will just be my dream. I was going to get one and then they were all gone.

I believe the Spydiechef will be the answer to all of your issues.
Do you have personal experience with it? How is it as an edc?

Perhaps Spyderco Swayback?

I have heard good things but it just looks odd to me for some reason.

I really really really love my Spydiechef!

That said, it really is a chef's knife. It's bad at puncturing things. If your EDC consists of a lot of slicing and preparing food, the Spydiechef is your go to. However, there are better allround knives.

Any recommendations for a better all around edc?

A new Anthem is $400+ and you’re will to go on it and hesitated on a CRK :eek::eek:. Kidding, my PB Anthem is among my favorite knife.

On topic, check for a Quiet Carry Waypoint, Vanax blade, titanium scale, LC200N liners and on thumbstud. Sub $300. Nearly rustproof.

The Waypoint (SWSA)
$ 295.00

Other models by Slysz.

Also check out the Kizer T1 and save some money. Kizer also has a lot of other affordable models with titanium scales.

It's a bit hard to gauge without knowing what EDC means for you personally, in terms of use/habits/priorities.

Or just use a big site with lots of products and filtering capabilities and browse to your heart's content.

To be fair the Anthem was going for $360 when they were discontinued and a small sebenza is $375 haha.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Way point.

I have almost pulled the trigger on a T1 several times I just can't seem to find many people with experience on it.

EDC for me is pretty much the standard. I'm not a hard use operator type. I cut boxes, letters, some food prep, but I'll also use it to clean up a wood cut if I'm working on a project or for things around the house. I don't baby them but I'm also not going crazy.

I have the Kizer T2, which I believe is the fixed blade version, and I love the form factor.
