Hey guys, I got a 25% off coupon for sports authority and they actually have some nice knives. The coupon is good for anything I buy but I am limited on money to only about $60.They have a Ascent II, a mini-TSEK, and a 551S Griptilian. Their prices are as follows... 39.99, 55, and "about" 75 (since there was no tag and thats what the employee said). This is not including the discount. What do you guys think is a better buy? The Ascent II comes out to about 29.99, the mini-TSEK - 41.25, and 551S - about 56.25. They also have a SOG Flash II in camo with black blade partially serrated that goes for 69.99 which comes out to 52.50. HELP!!!

Can you handle them all? See which feels best in your hand. Try clipping them in your pocket to see how they carry if they let you. Go with an Axis lock if you can.

I ended up getting the Benchmade 824 Ascent II for $27, great buy. I decided I want something for EDC that isn't too big to scare "sheeple" and still something with a decent size cutting edge. My mom however did order me a Benchmade Griptilian 550OD for X-mas, its gonna be sweet. I think with shipping it came out to $65, not bad. I thought that I had found the sharpest out of box knife I've ever bought after buying my SOG Flash I, I was wrong, this benchmade is THE sharpest knife I've ever purchased. For $27 its something I can use and abuse (but only as a knife) and not worry about along with the straight edge for ease of sharpening and it's still something with quality and a solid company backing it up. I would like to say that this knife is solid with no blade play at all and a smooth action; it was a little stiff at first but I just kept opening and closing and it keeps getting better.
