I cannot decide between the waved endura 4 and the regular endura 4. I feel I need to hold one of each to decide. How nessisary is wave feature. I just don't know what to do. Buying both is not an option at this juncture. C'mon guys (and gals) help me make the case for one or the other....

i would get the regular first and take it for a trial run. if you like it keep it. if not see if you can trade it on here for a waved one. The wave has is up sides and down sides.

Thanks, off hand does anyone know of side by side comparison of the I would really like to see a pros and cons of both.

i guess ill chime in again. my only beef with the waved version is that may need to pull it out of your pocket and not need it open just yet so thats kinda of a hang up. also its harder to draw when seated, such as in a car seat. the wave is a tiny bit more expensive. and i think it looks kinda ugly.

You can pull a waved knife out without it opening, just scoot the knife aways a little from the pocket edge so the wave won't catch. I don't think the wave looks ugly at all. Besides, Spyderco knives aren't the prettiest to begin with--no guilt in abusing 'em IMO.

Oh, and with the wave, you've got yourself a bottle opener (In the event you don't have one on your person).

I was at my local gun and knife show today and decided on the endura 4 without the wave. I was able to handle both and was not impressed with the waved endura. On a side note the guy that was selling the waved version was also selling(or should I say pushing) dorkops knives. I couldn't help but overhear him tell another guy how he just moments ago sold a knife to a solider on his way to Iraq. I shutter at the thought of him having to trust his life to such a cheap piece of steel. I had only seen these knives in magazines until today. They look like they should be on the table with the cheap for display only knives. I don't even think the guy caught it when I reffered to the knife as dork ops. He just corrected me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. All that said I ended up buying my knife from the other guy because atleast he was n't selling those POS knives. Got it for around $60. Could have probably got it cheaper online but what can I say I hate to wait...

You made the right choice:thumbup: . I got my Delica a year ago at an Army Navy Store in Monatana. It was a great buy without shipping.

You made an excellent choice!! Good for you! Thanks for letting us know what you decided on.
