Im looking for a good fixed blade for under $100. I have my folders for EDC, but I need a fixed blade or two for hunting/camping trips, and for whenever I wear my sidearm. I really like the shape and style of the ZT0121 and the John Barker Dewclaw Recurve, but they are way out of my price range. Id like something that looks similar to one of them though, or something similar to a Spyderco Lionspy or Benchmade Onslaught. I need a wide blade over 3 inches in blade length, I love recurves but it can be a straight edge like the LionSpy or Onslaught. The only catch is the knife has to be between $30-$100 and under 10 inches in overall length. Id prefer 6.5-9 inches long.

Thank you guys, I know you will have great information as always. Ive been looking on the web for something I might like, but its all either out of my price range, too big, or too cheap. I dont need a perfect badass fixed blade, if I did I would pay more, but I just need a good looking/working/strong knife for occasional use. If you know of a good knife that fits my criteria for a good price please let me know where to find it... Or if you have a knife that fits my criteria for sale you can email me. I dont mind used knives as long as theyre in good condition.

Thanks Again!

For your price range something like the Becker BK16 should work well.

Kershaw makes some very inexpensive fixed blade knives in a variety of styles.

Third the Becker suggestion! You won't find more blade in your price range.

If you want to go really cheap, but still have a good quality fixed blade, you can't go wrong with a Mora. Gerber Profile also has been good to me.

Check out the Blind Horse Knives. Their Patch knives come to mind. They make a few under $100 that should suit you well.

Thank you guys for the help. I love the Becker knives, the BK2 and BK17 are my favorites. The Blind Horse line of knives are very nice, Ive never heard of them until now, I especially like the MUK. Thank you all for the info.

Right now Im between a few knives.. The BK2, BK17, and the Ontario Night Stalker. Im leaning towards the Night Stalker. I also love the Spyderco Hossom DayHiker, but it is very hard to find, and the only ONE I have found is out of my price range. Does anyone know where to find a Spyderco Hossom DayHiker, or one very similar, that is $120 or less? I wouldnt mind a good used one either. If you have one or find one please email me at ares1307@live.com . Thanks again guys!!

The beckers are awesome as well as the ESEE 3 and 4. Without the molle back these can be had for under 100 bucks.

The blades comparable to the Night Stalker seem more like the BK9 and the ESEE Junglas, TBH, not the 2 or the 17. Those are all very different knives. I would pick either of those over the Ontario, personally. Ontario is pretty good, but I just don't think it's quite as good as the Becker or ESEE offerings.

You could find a used Fallkniven F1 for about that price. The blade is only 4 inches I think so I don't know if that is big enough for you but it is one of my favorite knives. I got mine used for that much.

I know, what I like in Beckers is that they are big and wide. I like the Night Stalker because its size and shape, I love recurves. I also like the Windrunner XL because of its size and shape. The Esee 4&5 are also very gorgeous knives. Im very confused, I like too many knives that are either very similar or very very different from each other.

I think I just need to start making my own knives. :D Thank you all for the advice, please keep it coming.

Here are five for your consideration: 1. Fallkniven F1 (a bit more than you want to spend) 2. ESEE 3. 3. Cold Steel Master Hunter 4. Ka Bar Mark 1 Navy. 5. SOG NW Ranger.

Buck knives will have a few fixed blades in that price range for sure. You could get a spyderco mule team and make your own handle.
There are a lot of knives out there for around $100 from your basic big manufacturers and lesser known ones too.

Ive decided to go with a custom made fixed blade. The cost is a bit more than I originally planned to spend, but its something I KNOW I will be satisfied with. When I get it Ill post some pictures, but being a custom made knife that just got underway, it will be a little while. Thank you all for your advice. My problem is that I want too many different knives, so this seems to be the best option. Thanks again everyone!

Condor Knives. I picked one up for $30 and it's a great little knife. Mine has a 3 inch blade, so I guess that'll put it around 7 inches.
