Ok, so I'm looking for a traditional knife with the blade length of a GEC Bull Nose and the handle thickness/contours of a Northwoods Madison Barlow. Basically a sleeker Bull Nose. Thanks for the help!

What type of steel and cover material are you looking for? Also, how much are you willing to spend?

Maybe a 74 Mustang?

Rough Rider 'Working Knife'? They make it in slip joint and liner lock versions, with bone covers.

I second the GEC 74. Very similar, except for the thinner handle. In fact, when I first got ahold of a 74, my thought was, "wow, this is basically a thinline SBJ."

Additionally, Case makes some SBJs with thinner handles - some in bone and in carbon fiber. The Case SBJ is only a touch shorter overall than a Bullnose. And, at just a touch longer, there are some of the single blade GEC 54s popping up on the exchange. I've had a Northwoods Presidential (single spring on the 54 frame) that, although it was a straight frame as opposed to the Sodbuster's curve, was also very similar and nice in the thin profile.

What about a Mud Bug?
Those were thinner than the Bull Noses, iirc.

Yeah, I'm on the waiting list for a Mudbug. I love the size of the Bull Nose, just wish the handle was slightly thinner. I wish Northwoods would do a run of them in 154CM. That to me would be the ultimate working knife. But I'm not going to hold my breath. lol!
