Im looking for a new nice EDC knife with a 3 inch blade, not a mini griptilian :P $100 is my budget and any brand, I will sneak maybe an extra 15 or 20 dollars in their though. Help me! I want something sick!

Benchmade 530. Its a 3.25" blade, but is very slim and light and can be found for ~$100.
Kershaw leek is a 3" blade, can be found for ~$40.
Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 has a 3" blade as well, I think they are like $50-$60.

You might need to chip in the extra $20, but I think a Spyderco Sage 1 can be gotten for right around $100. Carbon fiber and a nice 3" S30V blade is hard to beat at any price.

Cold Steel Mini Recon 1. It's awesome. I've got the full size one. Here's an abusive test of the Mini. You want something sick with a 3" blade under $100? This will do it.

Anything Kershaw (Made in USA), anything Benchmade (Made in USA), Nothing cold steel.

I have many Kershaw knives and a few Benchmade knives and got rid of all the Cold Steel after I learned just how rich the choices are in knives elsewhere.

Small Benchmade Bone Collector. Very plain but very tough and capable. I've heard good things about the CS recommended above as well, but I've never had one.

Why, 'cause most of their knives are made in Taiwan?

Each of these can be had for less than $100...

Top to bottom: CRKT Ripple framelock in Acuto+ steel (3.125" blade,) Spyderco Centofante 3 (3.125" blade,) Spyderco Delica 4 FFG, Kershaw Zing (discontinued but can still be found)

Good luck, OP! :)

That particular Ripple is a wonderful knife, and I'm proud to own one. It is truly unfortunate that it's discontinued. Anyone who wants one, better get it quick.

image.jpgPlease, for your own sake, consider carrying folding scissors because you can run with them without poking out an eye and it is difficult to cut yourself using scissors. Think about it. Put that knife down now & p/u a slip-n-snip (Oregon made). :)
