Does anyone know of a person/ company that will strip the coatings off of a few of my knives to give them a nice satin finish? I know AZTimT used to do an amazing job at this on the side but his concrete business is so busy that he cannot do this anymore. I have a few legacy knives that would be much nicer without the coating (NMSFNO, Infi Ratweiler, etc.)

Stripping is easy, just use Citristrip, doing that yourself will probably save you money, along with sanding the decarb layer off then you just need to find someone to do the satin finish but you'll lose the logo either way unless you etch it in deeper before the stripping.

As mentioned, Citristrip has worked well for me in the past. Don’t forget to mind the decarb layer with some elbow grease. If it’s a user, it’ll just give the knife more character!

I tried that in the past but with my limited skill it looked pretty ghetto with the coating peaking out from under the g10. Is there a tool I can buy to remove and reinstall the handle? I would guess you have to destroy the tubes to get the handles off.

I can help with that depending on what you had in mind. Send me PM to discuss, I've done several along the lines of what you're describing. The handles can be removed by drilling through the rivets but can be hazardous if the drill bit grabs and turns the blade.
