Fun Fact..... As knife lovers, I assume ALL of us stalk certain knives?
I know, I do... Haha

David made a knife, a couple years ago.... It didn't sell right away, and he lowered his price for a sale of his.....
Idk Why it didn't sell at first?
It was Super Awesome.

(From memory)
it had around a 7+ inch blade. Pretty thin. Slicey, but still capable of chopping.
It had a unique handle, not a style he normally does, but looked comfortable. Curvy.
The handle was RED. Idk what material, but very very RED.
Maybe green liners? Not sure.

It was at a point when I was buying as many of DM as I could, but I just couldn't afford it at that time, for whatever reason..... And it Really bugs me that the person who has it, isn't sharing pictures! 😅😅😅😅😅😅

Who Has This Knife?

Haha.... Not sure what we call the post/topic?
But we Should open a post on all the knives that just slipped away, maybe through our grasp, but gone from us...... (Not that we had a chance)

But I think about THAT David Mary knife alot... I hope it's ok.

Nope, More red.... I'm assuming G10? Which I normally don't like, but the color really popped!
At least 2 years ago.
Maybe a subtle drop point, or close to a "woodcraft" point. The whole knife was very unique for You, must of been a one off.
Red+Green is what I remember.... Maybe like Costa Rican frogs?

I thought he was referring to the Midnighter Fighter I made last year with red Suretouch. He said no. I did an exchange search for "red green" by user David Mary. Can't find a poppy red handled knife with some green in it and a 7" blade made by me. I told him it doesn't exist. He says it does. Do you know the one he means?

This one came to mind! But now, that jimping has me doing a double take. :)

Nope, but I don't remember seeing That one either.... Nice.

It might be 7-10" blade? Big , thin knife/small chopper

Red, is the prominent feature... Bright red.

Ugh, it's going to take me a few hours to find it, probably in David's "what's happening lately in the shop" page

This handle matches but I don't imagine the timeline works.

Closest, so far.... But I remember some green in the handle.
The knife is a couple/few years old... Less than 4 years.

Maybe green pins? Maybe green liners?

From memory.... The handle reminds me of an Alpha Regulator, without the guard. Those kind of Curves....?
*Sorry for mixing brands, but my memory ain't great.

***I think it was before David textured handles

David had a red handled knife that didn’t sell so he refurbished it. Textured the handle I think. If memory serves me well it was a basic drop point, 8670 and .25” thick. That the one?

I'm not sure the steel type? Maybe...I just don't remember if David had 8670 yet, then?
I "thought"? It was very thin

I'm Not admitting defeat yet....but I believe I have potential proof of existence...? I think this is it.

I spent over 3 hours digging through David's sub forum.

I still haven't found any more pictures yet, but these colors are what I remember.

If David sees This, and he knows what/where it is...Don't give it away, just yet.

I got no idear, but seeing a silver lining on this one. David's made so many knives now, we can't remember them all.

Yeah....after spending Sooo Much time digging though his forum, it's obvious that he's a real Asset here on Bladeforums.... Everyone Should have a knife of his.
Not only because they are good, but because HE is....
His page is Easily the top few forums here, that are Very welcoming to All.

I always like David's non textured solid colored handles the best. I don't think I've ever seen splotched micarta before!

I'm guessing the green was the outer skin? And the rest of the layers are Red?

With vintage micarta, and BBQ.....that's often referred to as "bark"

I'm 90percent sure that it's the pic I posted above, but I still haven't found the rest of the pictures...
-David didn't have info on this picture posting, at the time... I figured more pictures would be posted afterwards, but I was still scrolling an hour later, and nothing....then my battery died

I can't even zoom in enough to ready the steel in his mark
