Hey all,

Not sure what category/forum this topic should be in. Basically, I was wondering if anyone could identify what kind/type of pepper spray produces a stream like the one in this FPS russia video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8IGDIujijQ

The reason I ask is because I've already tried using Sabre Gel, Foam, and Fox spray, and apart from the foam, I found both the Fox and Sabre to be very weak sprays -- i in terms of very thin sprays dropping after a few feet., unlike the 17-18 feet advertised. The one in the video shows great range and thick spray. Looks like it would go way beyond 10 feet which seems to be the standard range of most portable pepper sprays

EDIT: Sorry guys, after reviewing the video, it looks like my eyes were playing tricks from the vantage point in the video and it seems like the range is not as impressive as I originally thought.

Ah, I see it was under the "Community Discussion Forums". Thanks for the help knarfeng

I use Pepper Shot. It throws a good stream. Amazon sells it in both 2 and 4 oz cans, the 4 oz being the best deal. I use the 2 oz, as it is easier to carry.

Kimber makes a pepperblaster. It's a bit different but will give more distance for sure.

When I was in high school someone got pepper sprayed in the hallway. We had to evacuate the school. Even walking through the hall well after it happened I remember my lungs feeling like I was breathing needles. Kids were coughing everywhere. How does this guy get police grade directly to his face and doesn't even cough?

I actually stumbled upon the 2oz product page on amazon. shipping is almost as much as the product but it looks like it could be worth trying

Only downside I see with Kimber unit is price, but I still really want to get a unit and practice aim with one. Ive seen a few videos where the shooter misses their first shot, just standing calmly at distance from their target. In a high stress situation, I can't see that working well at a distance without practice

Yeah I agree, it's kind of the devil in the details. I have seen however some pretty tough guys get blasted in the face with one, and it took them down good

Guard Alaska makes a heavy duty pepper spray for bears, but it is offered in a fairly large can.
