Hello,

I recently received a CLB Direkt from a US Site, (I live in Austria), and have found that the screws holding the G10 slabs together don't do their job well. The scales move around, and the blade shows significant lateral and vertical play. I understand the issues with chinese manufacturing, and don't expect the dealer to refund the purchase. I am interested in fixing the issue myself, and am curious as to where to find better screws and or those things that the screws screw into (dont know what they are called) I suppose I can widen the holes in the G10 to accomodate better hardware..or am I thinking down the wrong road?
Any advice is appreciated...

Sorry to hear that you have problems with the knife. You can get replacement screws from

www.knifekits.com

without actually seeing the issue, cannot diagnose where the problem lies. Perhaps if you can shoot a video or pics, this will give a better idea about the issue.

I'd be interested to see pics, as well. The threads are metric, of course. I don't recall the exact size.

The parts the screws screw in to are referred to as "standoffs"

On a side note, I was/am very happy with the fit and finish on my Direkt.
