So I just got this light. It's used. Anyway it's not working at the moment, but the fellow I got it from swears that it was functional when he shipped it. I don't think he's lying.
Anyway, so when i got the light I took it apart and then put some batteries in it. (I noticed the foil wrapped 'head'(?) but didn't mess with it) And nothing.
So I tried 2 other sets of batteries, nothing.
When I took the light apart I noticed that the "head"? is wrapped in aluminum foil where it goes into the body. So I took it off, nothing, put it back on and the LED will give a tiny tiny glimmer of light, just enough to see if I look directly into the light in a dark room.
So whats the deal? How can I fix my light?
I tried looking up "surefire 6p r2 drop in" on youtube and it looks like everybody's drop ins work just fine with no foil.
I'm not a flash light guy so I really have no idea at all as to what's going on or why there would be tin foil in my flashlight. The R2 drop in has no markings that I could see.
Thanks
