Help me ID this handle material

I found this 113 Ranger Skinner at a gun show earlier this month. No box or sheath.
What is the handle material? Some form of Acrylic?

Reminds of a knife I used to own with Onyx/Obsidian inlays. Probably not the same thing but yours has a striking resemblance.

Not sure. Looks like some sort of stone from the pictures. Does it add noticeable weight to the knife, or does it feel like stone?

No, doesn't feel cold like stone and I don't have the sense it is extra heavy.
I've scrolled thru some of the knife making material supply sites and can't find anything similar.
I do like it whatever it is.

Well thanks, so Gold Web Black Onyx. A little googling determines the veins are Pyrite, and not actual Gold.
