Help me ID this hatchet!

I just picked this up at a flea market in maine. it has a LL bean sheath but no markings on the hatchet itself. any ideas?

It could be a L.L. Bean hatchet made by Snow and Nealley. It has a big steel wedge like they used. They often stamped very lightly.

Try under the poll. The S&N I came across was marked there.

I cleaned it up some and still no markings that I can see. I guess the next step is to get out the magnify glass and see if I can see any but it doesnt look like there is.


any other ideas?

Safety goggles label? Probably a post 60s hatchet, which explains why it's unmarked.
