I purchased a bali (if you want to call it that) recently. I've never seen another like it. Instead of that handles closing to "cup" the blades, the handles fold to "sandwich" the blades and when open the lie flush up against each other. Does anyone know what style of blade this is called?

Unique, perhaps. Boker makes one. This could be it, or a clone.

I'm going to move this from the Balisong / Butterfly Knife forum to the General Knife Discussion.

ive seen this one in every store in chinatown and all over hollywood blvd for about $10 its got that gimicky feel to it but over all its nothing particularly special.

cheers!

thanks. i got it at a biker rally. i just thought it looked cool. didn't know if there was a name for this style of bali...

mine (chinese one) was of extremely poor quality, it broke while slicing pizza... gave its remnants away ((

Made for Master Cutlery. Cheap Chinese production. Fun anyway.

this is usually marketed to balisong fans. but its a garbage knife.

i wouldnt try to use it. those pins are way to thin to handle any kind of use or flipping.

I've heard them called a sidewinder before.
Basically, a cheap novelty knife that isn't built to be used, but can be a fun item for $10 or less.
