Help me identify this SS delica.
The steel is an AUS 6
The year this was made is 1997.

Is it a Delica 1, 2, or 3?
How much did it cost back then?
How much would it cost now?
Anymore info would be much appreciated.:)

Thanks!

Delica 1 - FRN handle with integral clip
Delica 2 - SS handle, AUS-6 blade
Delica 3 - FRN handle, steel clip with barrel bolt
Delica 4 - 4 way clip position in FRN and stainless

There are numerous other differences, but those are quick reference identifiers.

It is impossible to tell which incarnation of the Delica you have with pictures. You must send it to me for identification.
It is without value and you are better off without it.
I'll check the mail in a few days.
I'm glad I could help.

Wow I did not know it had little value.
Please PM me your address.

Thanks for your help.

MSRP in 1997 was $49. Yen must have taken a big jump around then, or the dollar went way down, because it went up to $65 in '98. Current value would be limited by the fact that they're fairly common, so of limited interest to collectors, and the current version offers better steel and more clip positions, so they're not really in demand as users. I've been wrong before, but unless you can find someone with a very strong "I need one and I need it NOW!" craving for that particular version, IMHO, its value would be $25 to $30.
