While going thru my collection of knives (selling some off to buy others), I found this one in my safe. It's a Gerber, in sheath, about 9" overall with a 5" blade on it. As I recall, I bought it at a gun/knife show back in 1986 or 1987, discarded the box, put it in my safe, and it's just now seeing the light of day again. See a picture at:

On one side of the blade is stamped "Gerber Portland, ORE USA", on the other side "C2475S".

What model is this? What approximately is it worth? I couldn't find anything like it on the current Gerber website.

Thanks much!

You've got yourself a Gerber Mark I. Like the knife used in 007 Tomorrow never dies

Thanks! Heck I have that movie on DVD, I'm going to have to take a look at that and find where this knife is used.

Any idea what these are worth?

Here's a completed eBay auction with a serrated Mark I like yours that sold at $81.00.

One of the current Mark I eBay auctions is listing their knife as a Gerber Mark I throwing knife--didn't realize that the Mark I was a throwing knife... (then again I've never been a Gerber person so I could be wrong...)

I'm no expert on throwing knives, but this one I have seems like it'd be a bit heavy for that use. This blade is like a quarter-inch thick...

It's used in the scene where Bond is trying to disarm the missile in the stealth ship.
