Fellas,

A friend gave me this knife. He told me that his son brought it back from Nepal for him.

Can you help me identify it or provide any information about it?

In addition, the handle is cracked which you can (kinda) see in the 2nd image. I was gonna fill the crack with exoxy. Is that a good idea?

Thanks guys.

its for sure a Khukuri House khuk...
see ya in the cantina :p :D

regarding the crack... epoxy/super glue and some sanding will work fine :)

Yup, a Kukri House product.

I think I even have a blade very similar to that laying around some place...

I've filled similar handle cracks with super glue. Epoxy works OK, too. Before you fill it, you might want to condition the handle - I use hooflex, but anything from chapstick to vaseline to various skin/nail moisturizers have been tried and work OK. That may close the crack a bit and keep it from getting bigger. Make sure you wipe out the gunk before you epoxy, so the adhesion is good.

or a Ghurka house ...or maybe they are all the same just different store fronts.
I have about 60 of them I had bought to use in my school. They are not bad , not a HI by any means but still sturdy and the sheath is almost the same as HI.
I have some plain service models like that one and some with that common dragon etched on the blade.

I was going to sell some or maybe all of them but not sure the quality is what I would want to offer on BF so they may end up on ebay

If you don't collect and just want one you can bang around with that will last for years then hang on to that one.

I have a tutorial on filling a crack handle on my website, under Tutorials.

Welcome to the Cantina!

Pull up a stool and stay awhile....

I much prefer epoxy to super glue. Have had super glue fail in a few years. Epoxy is there to stay on wood or horn.

Yeah, some Hooflex is a good idea to provide dimensional stability to the horn.
