I bought this antique knife at an antique shop in Maine a few months back along with three or four Imperial knives and a Camillus cub scout knife. I paid twelve dollars for it and have recently restored it enough to make out the REmington UMC stamp on one blade and a number stamp on the back that says R595, upon further cleaning I found a Corliss Cutlery Co., Germany, stamp on the second blade. It could just be my attrocious internet skills but I've looked up both brands and can't find anything on these two companies working together. So what do I have here?

Join a sight like PhotoBucket and it's fairly easy to upload and post pics.

As to the knife, I have NO IDEA!

I STILL can't tell you anything about the knife, but I'll bet you can get it VERY sharp without too much trouble!
