Help me identify this pattern. Rockaway

I salvaged/rescued this axe from my grandfather who passed away. It's a boys axe 2.5 lb on a 26 handle. I will update with a more recent pic later.

What style is this? Rockaway?

Looks to be what's called a 'cedar' pattern. Plumb was a maker of these and I don't know if there were others.

Cedar pattern for sure, Plumb and True Temper are the ones I've seen.

Presumably yes, if in fact your's is 2 1/4 lb. Full size axes are generally 3+ lbs. By chance have you uncovered any stamps on your's? This seems to be one of the axe patterns that China/Mexico/India haven't tried to emulate nor ever did the Swedes or Germans going back 60 years.
Cedar axes (I suspect) were sellers to specific locales and not commonly available elsewhere.

There are no visible stamps or marks. It was my grandfather's, on old school Texan.

Thank you very much for this. Cedar pattern very likely was 'a' or 'the' model for post WWII Plumb Company Ltd's foray into creating an outdoor recreation pattern (the National). But emphasizing blade sweep at the expense of eye length/depth, such as is shown in the previous entry, implies that no one took heed of durability constraints from age-old Hudson Bay patterns.
