I'd say you pretty much know everything you need to already.
Probably 60's-70's, should be a good knife if it's not worn out.
GC co would be an importer not a manufacturer, I believe it stands for Global cutlery. I've also seen GC co knives made in Japan as well.
The handle would be stacked leather not wrapped, it's a stack of leather washers with plastic spacers.
If the handle is loose at all you can give the oil some neatsfoot oil and tighten the pommel nut.

Pictures would be good....
GC Co is Gutmann Cutlery, in knife retailer from NY that imported lots of stuff made in Germany and Japan in the 1950s and 60s.

I cant figure out how to upload the pic

It's a throwing knife. As mentioned, GC Co is Gutmann Cutlery of Mt. Vernon Ny, active post WWII - 1990's as the original company. Late 90's it was sold to Shiraz Balolia, who owns the Grizzly Tool Company of Washington state. The Original Gutmann's claim to fame was being one of the first importers of Puma cutlery.

This knife is probably 50's - 70's. After that, the pattern would've probably been made in Japan to save costs. Also by the late 70's, early 80's, Gutmann usually wasn't using GC Co, and would've sold it under the "Edge Brand" label, which was another one of their brands.
