Help me NOT to like an Aegis

A found cuttlerylover's excellent review over at Youtube and made me think of getting one over a Fusion Salute.

Ok, I like the blade shape best with its wide belly and good tip. Ergo's look very comfy and said to be light in weight, which is good for EDC. An Innovative lock with SAT (never had an AO so the novelty of wanting one is still there).

So tell me; what's not to like? ;)

There is very little not to like about the aegis, I just got the satin finish/black handle model yesterday and saturday my digi-camo/black blade model should be here.. It is awesome, the tip on these things are needle sharp, very lite-weight... Only thing you may not like is the handle gripping thats under the pocket clip, I just bent my clip out ever so slightly and i love it.. You can't beat the blade shape and its the perfect size..I'm going for try and pick up every model....

Thanks guys! Oh yeah, the low-riding clip is a +1 for me too.

I've seen nutnfancy's review as well but I honestly liked cuttlerylover's better.

Any more views? Pics are welcome, especially in the hand.

I don't know about the Aegis. But every single SOG folder I've handled or owned has had excessive blade play and the clips tend to break off too easily. Plus they don't allow for tip down carry.
I like their fixed blades though.

I love the Aegis. I've been carrying mine since July and really don't have anything against it.

The only thing I don't understand why they did what they did was with the cuts on the back of the handle, by the clip and right behind the actual blade. They only went 1/3 of the way through the handle on each side, so the center isn't grippy.

I solved this by taking my dremel to it and I'm really happy I did because I love the results.

I absolutly love the clip design, to the point where I almost won't buy a knife with out the bayonet style. Its and incredibly light knife. I love the blade shape and it stays sharp for a decent amount of use. I love the assisted opening function too.

It does have some side to side blade play but the only time I notice it is when I actually try to see how much blade play is there. The vertical play on all my SOG folders has gone away the more you use it so don't worry about that because its minor to begin with.

Great knife and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I'm not and I carry it everyday.
