Looking at the pic below... is the BaTac almost the same size as an ASH? I have a Skinny and currently wondering whether or not it makes sense for me to get a BaTac due the size similarity.

Thanks for any hints on this.

It absolutely makes sense  That is what I always said to myself anyway  :foot: :D

who cares, don't try to justify it, just get one in every model and every color. It doesn't hurt have have to have three of each, one for the safe, one to use, and another try trade for something you want but others refuse to sell to you =)

Nah... I'm not like any of you guys. :p

I don't like redundancy.

And... Liu... come on, dude... you're selling most of yours now.

:D

Seriously... not in the financial position to buy "all" of 'em.

I see the BATAC as an all-purpose general heavy duty utility knife that's useful in a very wide range of tasks. I don't really see the ASH-1 quite the same way. If you have no problems using the ASH for everything that you need, then maybe you don't need a BATAC. Really, it's a matter of personal choice...what fits you best for the tasks that you look to a knife for on any given day?

The bottom BATAC in this pic is the most frequently chosen & used Busse in my collection. If I want to have a fixed blade with me that is larger than an EDC style knife, but I don't know what I may need one for during an average day, I toss this in the truck.

I have had several of both and they are totally different knives, even at similar lengths.
