i'm looking for recommendations, not looking to start a whole coke/pepsi thing

i'm looking for a 1-200 folder
one hand opening
pocket clip
3-3-1/2" blade
BULLET PROOF lock

thanks in advance

How about a ZT 200 or 350. Also for a tough lock a Cold Steel Voyager or American Lawman. Good Luck! Kevin :D

I really like the PM 2 and the lock is an awesome design.

If you want more of a "fighter" type knife I still recommend the Combative Edge M1, but it is 3.75 inches. I love the titanium frame lock and it only runs $170.

ZT 300/301
Hogue EX01
Spyderco Paramilitary

Those are some of my favs.

The Paramilitary the perfect all around EDC knife, for something a little beefier, I'd go with the ZT 0550.

i'm scared of frame locks, i've watched some videos and lock rock/or creep scares me
i like my fingers
i have a ss endura and a police 3 but the police 3 seems a little thin and with the laminated construction i'm just a little scared
the endura's lock fits right in a part of my hand that engages the lock partially
i just want something bulletproof and i was looking at the triad locks but not the steel

i donno just looking for ideas

Benchmade folder with Axis lock in that size range, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, or Cold Steel American Lawman, Mini Recon, Medium Voyager, etc.

I have a Mini Recon Spear Point on the way that I'm hoping is my favorite sub 4" blade folder of all time but will have to use it a lot to see. Original Paramilitary was one of my favorite knives and most expensive folder I bought but personally don't see much in the difference between $38 Large Voyager I have or $140 Paramiltary I used to have when using it and looking at it as a working knife. It's more guilty pleasure than really getting double or more the utility or reliability. If you got the cash and think you might want a Paramilitary 2, you will probably love it.

I'll suggest the HEST 2.0 by DPX. I know you say you are leery of framelocks but I would imagine the issues you mentioned are the same thing people worry about with liner locks failing. Imaginary what-ifs. The HEST has a locking switch that basically turns it into a fixed blade by locking the lock in the engaged position, so no worries there. Very comfortable in the hand, rock solid knife, no questions asked lifetime warranty. Under $200. It meets all of your criteria actually.

I have a medium clip point voyager that would be a serious user if the handle fit my hand better. I dig the triad lock, but none of the cold steels seem to fit my hands very well. I'm not particularly gentle with my knives, but I've never had a problem with frame locks.

I'd say the 350 is a good suggestion, the liner lock is plenty beefy.

Just got my first Axis lock knife, a bone collector from Benchmade. It's been the user in my pocket for the last few weeks, and its a beast. That might be something to look at.

So many good knives to choose from.
Benchmade Adamas
DPX HEST 2.0
Spyderco Para 2 or Manix 2
Benchmade full size ritter grip

To name just a few.

What exactly do you use your knives for? I have never heard of a (well constructed) frame or linerlock closing on someones fingers under normal use (cutting). If you really like the triad lock you could get an andrew demko (The inventor of the triad lock) custom but it would be pricey.
