Allright, help me pick a new EDC knife
I've just gotten the bug for a new EDC- my trusty Gerber Paraframe had grown to small for my overly large hands. Knife must have >3'' blade, handle 4''ish Here are my choices.
KaBar Dozier- economical, about the size I'm looking for, has different types of blades. Pocket clip looks rather flimsy, though.
Bucky Mayo Cutback- perfect size, looks great, have had experience with this knife and loved it- one of the smoothest knives ever.
Kershaws- Vapor caught my eye. Has it a pocket clip?
Cold Steel- Voyager
What else is there along these lines of knives? Price must be under $50. Must have pocket clip.

http://www.crkt.com/m16edc.html love this knife. I have the original M16-03 with aluminum scales in the grayish color with a plain edge. I wish i could track down another one. My favorite knife to date, sharp and its very comfortable. It also has a nice flipper on the top of it that deploys the blade faster. I can get my finger on it before its all the way out of my pocket and deploy it, many people think its a switchblade until i show them. I dont even have to flick my wrist now i got so good at it lol.

The Vapor is an awesome knife that really cannot be beat at its price in terms of ergonomics, maintainability and durability. It has a great pocket clip.
The Benchmade Monochrome is a similar knife that is also very good.

trot on down to wally world and plunk down 39.95 for a spyderco native. great bang for the buck. Or you might try the kershaw storm2 also at wally world for around 30. If you're ready to leave the tactical life go on over to your local coop and pick up either a large or small case sodbuster. there are actually a lot of good knives available for under $50. let us know what you decide on.

Instead of the KaBar Dozier, look at the Large Dozier.

You might also look at a
Benchmade Vex.
Benchmade Ambush
Benchmade mini-ambush

Much as I like the Native, I think the handle might not be right for large hands.

Be sure to look into the Byrd line of knives. I picked up a Pelican a little while back, and it is an awesome knife to say the least! If you don't mind SS handles, they are great knives. A few of the models are now available in G-10 as well now, which makes for a very well priced G-10 knife. The steel is also fantastic for the price.

Buck 110- those are heavy, at eight ounces, I think. Have a cheapo Remington knockoff, and belt carry it around when I'm day hiking. Nic blade, but not as an EDC.
Case Sodbuster- yeah, I've thought about those. Do they lock? If so, I might be perseuded to use it. Case makes some excellent products.
Spyderco- I'll check them out.
CRKT- I have one. I found it's pcoket clip to easily snagged and bent. Also wen it bent it bent way out. The two-piece locking system can be confusing, and the screw that adjusts the blade tension tends to work its way tighter or loser. I removed the clip and mae it into an extremely thin knife, we're talking almost SAK classic thin, and it sometimes rides in my back pocket.
I'll also check out Benchmade- I've heard great stuff about them.
Oh, I'v looked at Birds, and I don't think I would mind the SS handles.G-10, is that a type of polymer. My only handle material experience is with yellow synthetic and blue bone.
