I am looking to get a new fixed Benchmade knife that I can carry on a day to day basis... Legally speaking, it has to be exactly 4 inches or smaller for me to carry... i can conceal it or caryr open, doesnt matter... help me find one.
It might be a bit smaller than you were considering, but I really like the 210. It was the first fixed blade I carried often and it really changed my mind about carrying fixed blades and showed me that carrying a fixed blade can be just as comfortable as carrying any folder. Now, I only carry fixed blades and never folders. The 210 is so easy to carry, and big enough for most things. The G-10 and CF version looks incredible!
I've owned the Griptilian FB, the Nim Cub and the River Rescue. I would go for the Nim Cub, smaller than the other two, and built like a tank. Mine has ATS34 steel, but you can find them in 154CM too. Its discontinued, so get your Indiana Jones theme music ready.
I believe the BM Rant Bowie is just what you're looking for. Comes with leather sheath. If you get the drop point version it's nylon I believe. The Rant Bowie is a great knife for about $50.
The activator is a great knife but the blade is SMALL. I'd check some comparison pics so you can see the size.
I got one and loved it (great ergos, beautiful, very well built) but ended up selling it because I'm more on folders and It didn's see the light. I hated its sheath, way too big for a small fixed.
