I'm looking to flesh out my spyderco collection.

I only got two (a Tenacious and a UKPK)... so I'm looking to pick up another one.

My price range is under $100, preferably under $60. I like drop point blades, and plain edges. I'm open to other suggestions though. I like the reverse s shape of spyderco. I like FRN and G10 about equally, but I like them both above SS (SS always looks crappy after use)

What I'm looking at are:
-Delica (better size than Endura)/ Pacific Salt
-Dragonfly (maybe a white one....)
-Cricket SS
-Native
-Centofante 3
-Captain (if it was under $80, i'd buy it.. like immediately)
-Caly 3 (ehh... i already have a ukpk)
-Sage (little pricey)

Non-Spydies i'm looking at....

-BM Doug Ritter Grip (How much better is it than the normal thumb-stud grip?)
-Byrd Raven (probably gonna get it cause its a cheapie)

Thanks! Let me know.

I vote for a Delica or Salt 1 if this is your third Spyderco and with your preferred price. The Delica is a Spyderco benchmark and the Salt 1 is a fantastic no worries EDC. If you choose to go the BM route look at the Mini Grip. It really is a fantastic, no frills EDC in your price range.

The ritter grip, D'Allara Drop point (Spyderco), Native or Delica. Wish you could spring for a military i bet! What about a kershaw blur?

I would go for the Native, the Sage, or the RSK Grip. All are great knives and yes, I own all three. ;)

military is too long for me.... maybe in the future i'll pick up an orange one if they're still available.. but i'm looking for under 3.75" at this point.

why is the doug ritter grip better than the normal 556 model?

I agree on the BM .. I picked up a yellow mini grip off ebay for $50

For the money you would pay for some of those, you could get two dragonflys. I'd go with that.My frn one serves me well weekly.

Get the endura anyways.

or in your list (in prefered order).. Delica, Native, Cent. 3, pac. salt, Dfly

maybe i'll just spend a little less and pick up one of those classy white frn dragonflies and save up for a ritter.

still open to suggestions.

I picked up a Raven last year in an impulse by and was very, very impressed by it. The blade shape was excellent the knife was comfortable to use. The liner was a tad thin but even in some hard use it never gave me any problems. I think I paid around $20 for it, barging at twice the price.

yeah... i've heard nothing but good about the raven. i guess i can tack it on to another one of my knife orders

For about $100 I'd get a G-10 Delica. For $60 I'd go with the Native. Both are great knives.

i'm thinking i've narrowed it down to the delica or the d'fly

i'm planning to get a native when the Spyderco Forum 2009 knife comes out - purple frn with vg-10 native

Caly 3. Sure, the UKPK is nice and all, but man, it's still so nice. I guess if you don't care for locking, which I usually don't, it's not necessary, but it's nice for light work.

Sage and Caly are truly splendid but indeed perhaps a bit too close to the UKPK at this early moment when expanding your collection.

My 2 spydie recommendations are not on your list:
Why not have a look at the centofante 4 ?
It's quite different from your two knives because of the wharncliffe blade.

Furthermore, a very very nice out of production spyderco can still be had around $100 if you shop around: the Volpe

If you can afford it, I'd try to get a ZDP Delica/Endura. Great steel on a very good folder.
