Ok, I'm looking forward to get one of these models in either their 2 or 3 persons model (in case there isn't enough room in their 2P version)

- Nemo Losi 2P
- Big Agnes Emerald Mountain SL2
- MSR Hubba Hubba
- Nemo Morpho AR
- Black Diamond Skylight

Pros and cons of each one?

Feel free to recommend other brand/models.

Thanks in advance!

Where are you going to use it and will these other people help you carry it if you don't have motorized transportation? Weight is a big factor in a tent you have to carry. My current tent was bought for canoe trips where weight is not a huge factor. It weighs just over six pounds. I am looking to cut that weight down to three pounds on my next tent to be used for backpacking.

i have the big agnes copper spur 2. excellent lightweight tent. unlike the emerald mountain, the vestibule needs to be pegged out (whereas the emerald mountain has a pole along the ground so a stake isn't required.

the copper spur is lighter though.

An excellent point there. One attraction of my current tent is that it is frestanding. A lot of my canoe camping involves setting up on river gravel bars where staking is not easily done. My next tent will likely not be freestanding, but it will have a minimum of guys/stakes for ease of erection (heh! I said "erection"), light weight and easy site choices.

I am looking hard at a Tarptent Moment as a one person lightweight tent (28.5 ounces). MSRP is just $215.

This type may not appeal to you, but similar tents like the Double Rainbow might. It's MSRP is $260 and it weighs 2# 8oz.

I have the emerald mountain sl2. Real happy with it, I picked up the optional ground cloth and vestibule. This gives me almost too many set up options. Look at the pics on the website, with the extra vestibule it almost doubles the dry space in bad weather. Easy to set up, light for it's size and keeps me dry with good ventilation.

I can tell you I have a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 and I think its a pretty good tent I have used the SL2 but traded it to save weight/size. I do use my hammock more often if I have a choice though.
