Hopefully in the next week or so I'll be ordering another knife, bank account willing. I am looking at 3 main choices:

The Tops Mountain Lion

The Tops Operation Badger
http://www.knifeoutlet.com/shop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=TP909

And the Camillus 18683 Ti

My 2 main choices are the Tops knives. They would mainly be bushcraft knives for lighter work. No batoning and maybe rare light chopping- if any. I have bigger knives for heavy stuff but have found they are a bit too
Cumbersome for hunting/hiking and are better on camp duty. I have 2 Tops knives at the moment and love them (Tracker 2 + Tracker 4).

The Camillus is my 3rd choice in case I can't choose between the Tops and would go in the EDC rotation. I like the looks of the blade and grip. I also like that it has a flipper as I'm fond of them. If I can swing it money wise I will order whichever Tops I settle on AND the Camillus, but that's questionable right now.

I'm having trouble deciding so any input is appreciated!

Out of those I would definitely go with the Operation Badger. Bushcraft and sharpened swedge don't mix. Good luck buddy!

I do like the Badger. The only thing I was leery of was the uncoated blade. I do most of my hunting in the swamp and while I don't normally go wading, it can be kind of humid and muggy. Is that a big concern as far as rust goes? I've never had an uncoated carbon blade.

Would be worth forcing a patina on it, and taking good care to make sure you don't let water sit on it where possible. Clean it often and well, and you should be fine.

I just checked their website and it looks like it is coated, it's just "tactical gray". You could email them make sure.

I know you probably want to get one of these knives that you listed, but I`d suggest you`d invest into a ESEE 4 or any other ESEE or Becker knife. My 0.2$. If I were given one of these for free I`d take the Badger.

Check out the boker rold and the ontario sk-5.

Well I have a BK-7 and have been messing with my brother's Esee 4. I love the BK and the Esee is nice but I really love the blade profiles of the ones I mentioned. If the Badger is coated I may end up with it. It looks like it was made for my hand.

I'll check out that Boker but the Ontario knives I've handled just haven't done anything for me.
