Help me pick one

I've got some funding for some recreational spending, and I want to get some new Cold Steel products. The only problem is that I don't know which one to get. They might be for collecting, they might be used, I don't know yet. So I need some recommendations on what to choose from.

1. The CS Kobun and Tanto Lite paired together, since their prices are so low currently.

2. The CS Counter Tac 1.

3. The CS Chaos with double edged blade.

Those are my three picks, I can afford any one of them, but I can only get one at the moment.

If they're for collecting, pick which one you like most, none of them are likely to really have "collector value" to them. If they might be used, that....pretty much rules the Chaos right out, unless you spend a lot of time in warzones where close quarter combat is a very real risk. It's a large, double edged blade, with a knuckle duster guard, purely a fighter, not at all suited for anything else. The Counter Tac is primarily designed as a self-defense blade, but being double edged, a lot of states don't allow it to be carried. Kobun and Tanto are also basically designed as light weight self defense knives too, but since they are single edged knives, they're more likely to be legally carried, provided they're not too big.

If you're wanting a real multi purpose user knife, none of these are really the best option for you, they're all pretty much designed specifically for use as weapons.

Kobun is fun but kind of long (subjective) for discrete carry, love it though. Quite a bit of knife for low outlay. My last C.S. buy was a D2 Leatherneck I believe.

Have you considered a Kobun and an Outdoorsman Lite? Nearly the same price, and you get two of their most popular models, both a "tactical" blade as well as a utility/outdoor blade.
A Kobun and a Tanto Lite just seem kind of redundant to me. If that's what you want though, go for it.

I've got nothing against the Outdoorsman Lite, except for the fact that it currently costs a third more than the Tanto Lite.

Do you live outside the US? Cause if you're in the US, I'm not sure where you're shopping, but they're the exact same $25 price at Knifecenter. And a quick 20 second search for something cheaper finds the Tanto Lite at 20.99, so only $4 less than the Outdoorsman, which doesn't equate to a third by any math I know of.

I do most of my shopping at an online store named after a certain river going through a certain jungle.

As to when I said a third more, my own math was off. At the time of consideration the Outdoorsman Lite was 50 percent more than the Tanto Lite.

for the roughly 65.00ish you are looking at spending.... personally.... I'd get a pair of GI Tantos and call it a day!

IF you could carry double edge like the Chaos suggests... there is nothing wrong with a pair of Shanghai Shadows at a grand total of 45.00 bucks delivered! or Shanghai Warriors for the same 65.00 delivered if you want a pair of mammoth sized double edge bad assery

However of your 3 listed choices... the Chaos would be my pick for pure enjoyment.

Kobun easily offers the best bang for the buck, and it is a really nice looking knife.

Prices musta changed, cause I looked at that certain store you shop at, and I saw $20.99 and $25.99 for the 2 knives there.
