Help me pick out my next piece on INFI

Hello all you Hogs hope you are having a great weekend!

So it looks like I get to pick out my own Christmas/B-day present from my Wife this year :)

I would like to get something to fill this roster out. Here is what I have so far, rats included....

BWM
Chopweiler
Ratmandu
HRLM
CABS (don't have it yet, but I did order one)
SAR3
Ratchet

Right now the top contenders (in no particular order) are:

Skinny ASH-1
HG55 (has to be satin)
Cultellus

I also saw a Battle Rat with guard for a decent price, I thought it might be cool to get and have a penetrator tip ground in. Whatever I get is gonna be a user :)

I like the ASH-1 and Cultellus :thumbup:

Being a small knife, I find that I use the Cultellus around the house a lot, but it depends on what size knife you find that you use more.
 
The Cultellus is a small blade, but it's a beautiful one.
 
You are missing the classic Busse Combat blade, the SFNO...

You have to get at least one of them

I'd say go for a 6-8 incher to round out your collection...

Maybe a NMSFNO, Skinny ASH or SARSquatch...
 
The skinny ash and the culti are winners. THe HG55 has a nice handle but it kinda stops there. YMMV.
 
I say go for the culti. You will likely use it most, and your wife will feel good about the $ she spent since she will often see it in action.
 
Skinny ASH-1 and SFNO are my suggestions. Every hog needs atleast one of each IMO.
 
Don't overlook the SFNO, NMSFNO, SARsquatch. Those are my favorite in the mid-length blade range.

But, the ash and a cut. would be a great combo.
 
If you don't have a chopper and slicer, get a BWM. Go out with your wonderful wife and chop some wood for the fire place. The BWM is my most hard used knife.
 
I think you should start over and Give them to me:D..... then you can get all the different types of INFI you want
 
I think the HG55 is the meanest looking one, but prob. the least usable. The ASH-1 would prob. be the best outdoor knife overall and the culti would be better for delicate work and foods IMO
 
Those are some good calls all around....... there are just too many good knives, guess that is why some of the collections I see around here are so huge!

I should mention that I have been eyeballing another blade, namely the 3B2. It is a good all around size, and I think it would be fun to strip, refinish and convex. I have read some threads about it and it seems like a pretty sweet blade, old school style, and somewhere in between a SJ and ASH. Have any of you guys beat on one yet?
 
You haven't specified whether you can only pick one so I say you pick 3 of them and ask her if you can get all three.......or four...........five sounds better.........

The Culti would make a great steak knife.......

I mean really I KNOW I'm gonna end up with more than the list in the first post :) it's just the order I get em in I am concerned with.
