Okay, so first of all I am not sure if I am allowed to make a new thread liee this because I am not a gold member so I completely understand if it is stricken.
Here goes.
I have ordered a Boker Congress 4 blade:thumbup: ( made in solingen) with an OAL of 3 1/4 ( I think)
I want something larger as an edc to go with it, I don't mind spending a bit on this because I love beautiful knives. I was looking at a Queen Stockman in D2 and Zebra wood:p. I would prefer something in this weight range. Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch in advance for all replies! I love this forum!

For my money, a Case large Stockman in CV and amber bone would be the best all purpose folder for the money.

I'm a big fan of single blades for edc, just because they are thinner and lighter. My GEC #72 single clip blade is my go to traditional folder. It's not too big at 3 7/8" and not to small. It won't scare anyone and is a classic design. If you don't want to go lockback or multiple blades, look at the #73 or #74 series. I was looking at the #42 but after getting the #72 I decided there is no need for something bigger for edc. There are lots of great options out there, but I think 3 7/8" is about the perfect size.

Here is a comparison pic of the Northwoods Madison Barlow (4 1/4"), GEC #72 (3 7/8") and Case Medium Stockman (3 5/8").

Make sure you post a picture of your boker congress when it arrives :)

Agree with Mark...get that Queen Stockman in Zebra. Beautiful knife!

Ah...a man after my own heart.

Among my standard rotation pocket knives are a Boker Congress and Queen Stockman. Actually a couple of each. I like a having the variety of blades these knives have. I've also come to appreciate the utility of the Sheepsfoot blade.

There are two sizes of the larger Queen Stockman knives, the standard 4" model and the 4.25" Stockman Cattle King. The standard model is easier pocket carry but the larger one is a real delight to use. Either is an excellent choice to go along with a Congress.

I can't argue with Alnamvet68 on offering the largest Case Stockman as an alternative. Case CV steel is easier to sharpen than the D2 used in the Queens. I like that about it. But none of the current CV Case Stockmen I've seen are nearly as pretty as the Queen Amber Carved Stag Bone or Curly Zebra Wood handles.

Here's my Queen #49 in bone. The knife is a beast and a half. Very solid and the D2 steel holds a great edge. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a large working knife.

Take a look at the #79. It comes in 2 and 3 blade configuration. About 3.75" close but a great model. Many different scale choices.

The big #49 Queen stockman in curly zebrawood is both gorgeous and a terrific knife, with it's D2 steel. Highly recommended.

The Queen large stockman is largely overlooked/underrated, IMO. Such a solid knife, and Queen does a great job with their D2 steel!

I have an Abilene and love it. The big Queen and Case are both on my list. Probably pick the Queen up first just because I feel the covers suit me better. A 6375 in red bone and CV would be awesome and get the nod though.

Everyone assumes that you are looking at large stockmen. That's fair, but not necessarily true. Is it the Queen 49 youre looking at or the 9 or 26?

The original post indicated he has a Boker Congress on order and wants a larger knife. The current Solingen Boker Congress knives are all 3 5/8" or 3 3/4" so a large stockman would be the logical choice.

yes you are right, I am after a larger knife. However from the comments and posts you guys have given I have decided to go with the queen cattle king. Thank you all for the help you've given. I really appreciate it. When I receive them I will post pics. Thanks a lot guys.
