Help me spend 200$

Hi there,

Well it seem that i've been a good boy and it's time for a new addon to my collection.

I got an Paypal account with 200$ in it and no new toys in sight....:confused:

I need your help to get some ideas on how and on what to spend that money. :D

I'm looking for a folder (i think) but any suggestion are welcome.

For a bit more precision, I love the drop point or tanto type of blade and some corrosion resistance is needed.

So obviously in the 200$ range please.

You can go wtih a Bradley Kimura (100 bucks) and find a good Benchmade LFK (about 100 bucks as well) 2 toys for 200.

Get a few cheapies to give out as gifts (Thats at least what I normally do)

Pull out 100 and take your significant other out to a nice meal and buy 1 100 dollar knive.

Considering he said corrosion resistance is needed I'm not sure a folder that utilizes a carbon steel would be a good choice.

And FYI the Gayle Bradley can be had for around $130.
 
One of my latest favorites is the 585 Axis Assist from Benchmade. I love the way it flies open with a flick of the thumb, yet has a great lock to keep it from accidentally opening. Great design.
 
I really like my Buck Mayo. It's right around the price range. It's a drop point with S30V.

Just to elaborate a little. I have never been happier with a knife than with the sage 2. the fit and finish is perfect, it's comfortable, deploys quickly and came more than razor sharp. it's my perfect size for EDC, rides low in the pocket and doesn't hinder access to other items in the pocket.
 
Ok so i narrowed it down to 2 choices.

First runner up : BM 950 Rift :thumbup: (That thing is SWWEEET thanks vonhizzle)

Second runner up: Spyderco Sage2 (freedom/hoopster thanks)

Good choices. I have both and think you'll be happy with either one....excellent knives.
 
How bout a Spyderco Blue Manix 2?


Otherwise, the Sage sounds like a real champ, it's luring me too!

Both excellent choices, it really comes down to if you want a TI framelock or a AXIS lock. Can't go wrong with either. My preference would be the Rift but that's only because I like the feel of G10 better than titanium.
